This week we will be revising basic map skills. For all the levels you will need to be able to understand and use;

• 6 figure grid reference - to locate places and points on a map.
• scale - to calculate distances.
• directions - to describe where places are in relation to one another.
• contour lines - to describe height and shape of the land.

I would like to welcome everyone to the start of a new year and this new blog. Throughout the year I aim to post details and summaries of what we have been doing in class and any other useful information such as sample exam questions and useful websites or articles.
