Revision of Map Skills, Yr11, Yr12 and Yr13.
This week we will be revising basic map skills. For all the levels you will need to be able to understand and use;
BBC bitesize map skills
Here is a good explanation of how to do six figure grid references.
- 6 figure grid reference - to locate places and points on a map.
- scale - to calculate distances.
- directions - to describe where places are in relation to one another.
- contour lines - to describe height and shape of the land.
